Thanksgiving is one week away, and it’s one of my favorite days of the year! Our big family always gets together over a huge southern meal with just about 50 sides, and there’s nothing like it.

My personal favorite part of Thanksgiving is the dessert table. We typically have a few pies, a cake, and a pick-up dessert or two… Something for everyone!

Here are ten of my favorite desserts to make this Thanksgiving!

  1. Mascarpone Cheesecake with Gingersnap Crust: I make this cheesecake every year because my family LOVES it. It’s truly one of the most heavenly cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten.

2. Pumpkin Pie with Bourbon Whipped Cream: What’s Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie?

3. Glazed Apple Pie Bars: Apple pie + a delicious crumble crust and topping + vanilla glaze = perfection.

4. Pumpkin Whoopie Pies: These are such a fun alternative to your typical Thanksgiving pies.

5. Salted Bourbon Pecan Pie: I head straight for the pecan pie every year at Thanksgiving. The touch of bourbon and salt makes this pie truly irresistible!

6. Carrot Cake: It really is the best.

7. Apple Spice Cake with Maple Cream Cheese Frosting: This cake is super easy to make and is made with simple, fresh ingredients.

8. Salted Caramel Thumbprint Cookies: I always like to have a few pickup desserts for Thanksgiving, and these cookies are unique and delicious!

9. Snickerdoodle Blondies: These are chewy, delicious and taste JUST like a snickerdoodle cookie! They are so simple to make, and I promise you won’t be able to eat just one!

10. Classic Apple Pie: You gotta have one. This apple pie is made with a simple all-butter crust and the most delicious apple filling that makes your whole house smell like heaven!

It truly makes me sad for the states that aren't allowing large gatherings on Thanksgiving day, and if that’s you, I hope it’s still a wonderful day full of love. I’m continuing to pray for this country and our leaders every day.

I’m so thankful for all of you. Happy baking and happy (almost) Thanksgiving!
